BELTON - The Lady Bulldogs 8th Grade B volleyball team took 2nd Place on Saturday in the Belton ISD Volleyball Tournament.

In their opener, the defeated Belton Middle School by a score of 25-17, 25-16. In their second match they defeated North Belton 25-17, 8-24, 15-8.

The win over North Belton advanced the Lady Bulldogs to the championship game where they fell to South Belton in two sets.

A few standouts for the Lady Bulldogs included Jacky Ixcopal and Lyla Shamlin who showed great leadership on the floor vocally and defended the floor with their hustle, blocks and digs.

Bonham improved to 4-3 on the season and is set to host North Belton on Thursday at Bulldog Gym beginning at 6:00 pm.
