TEMPLE, Texas — The Bonham Middle School 8th Grade Girls Cross Country team put forth a strong effort on Wednesday evening as they competed in the Broncho Middle School Cross Country Meet at Crossroads Park in Temple.

Bonham Lady Bulldog Performances

Leading the charge for the Lady Bulldogs was Teagan Vestal, who delivered a standout effort on the 2-mile course. Vestal placed 27th overall out of 90 runners, stopping the clock with an impressive time of 17:43.03.

Bonham Team Performance

Because Bonham did not field the minimum number of runners required to score, they did not register an official finish in the final team standings. However, Vestal's performance was a highlight for the squad. While she narrowly missed the Top 20 cut-off, her 27th-place finish paced the program and showcased great potential for the rest of the season.

The individual 2-mile race featured strong competition across the board. The top five finishers of the meet were:
