The Bonham Lady Bulldog 7th Grade B basketball team defeated Belton Middle School in their home opener on Thursday night by a score of 12-6.

The Lady Bulldogs built a 8-0 lead early in the third quarter of their contest before seeing the Lady Tigers cut the lead to 8-6. However, Paris Peoples and Victoria Gehling responded with 4th quarter field goals to hold off a Belton rally.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Amaris Lawrence who tallied 4 points while Paris Peoples, Alaynah Waterhouse, Victoria Gehling and Michelle Ezechukwu each scored 2 points.

Bonham will return to action on December 4th when they will host the Travis Science Academy at Bulldog Gym beginning at 5:00.
