The Bonham Bulldog 8th Grade A football earned their first victory of the season with a 20-18 victory over North Belton Middle School on Tuesday evening.

After the Broncos took the lead with 3 minutes left QB Drew Brischke led the Bulldogs down the field culminating in a game winning TD pass to WR Joseph Moreno-Garza with 46 seconds left. Kicker Austyn Shuster then executed a perfect squib kick that was recovered by Devonte Collins that allowed the Bulldogs to kneel the clock out.

The Offensive Player of Game for the Bulldogs was QB Drew Brischke with 83 yards rushing, 32 yards passing yards, 1 rushing TD and 2 passing touchdowns.

Also shining for the Bulldogs were RB Anthony Ramos with 54 yards rushing, WR Michael Peoples with 1 reception for 5 yards, touchdown and WR Joseph Moreno-Garza with 2 catches for 25 yards and 1 TD.

The Defensive Player of the Game was CB Steven Taylor with 3 tackles, 1 pass breakup and 1 interception.

Also leading the Bulldogs on defense DE Jesus Bravo-Lara with 5 tackles for losses.

Bonham, 1-3 on the season will return to action on October 16 when they will travel to Hewitt to take on Midway at 6:16 pm.
