TEMPLE, Texas — The Bonham Middle School Bulldog 7th Grade B Football team continued their dominant run on Monday evening, shutting out the visiting Lake Belton Middle School Tigers 25-0 in front of a home crowd at Herman Anderson Field.

With the victory, Bonham keeps its spotless record intact, improving to an impressive 5-0 on the season.

The Bulldogs set the tone on the game’s very first play. Kicker Asher Corley executed a perfect onside kick, catching the Tigers off guard and instantly putting the Bonham offense in control.

From there, star player of the game Bennett Reed took over. Impacting the contest on both sides of the ball, the dual-threat quarterback and defensive end put on a clinic. Reed powered his way into the end zone for two rushing touchdowns on offense and delivered the night's biggest defensive highlight by scooping up a Lake Belton fumble and returning it all the way for a third touchdown.

The Bulldogs' attack didn't stop there. Running back Charles Stoebner added to the scoreboard with a hard-fought rushing touchdown, while wide receiver Nolan Westbrook broke open the secondary for a dazzling 43-yard reception to keep the chains moving and the Tigers on their heels. Bonham's defense held firm all evening, securing the clean sheet.

Bonham will look to wrap up a perfect, unblemished season in their final game of the year. The Bulldogs return to Herman Anderson Field on Monday, October 26th, to host the Lamar Middle School Bearcats. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
