TEMPLE, Texas — Powered by a dual-threat offensive display and a relentless defensive unit, the Bonham Middle School Bulldog 8th Grade A football team secured an 18-7 victory over the North Belton Middle School Bronchos on Tuesday evening at Herman Anderson Field. With the hard-earned win, the Bulldogs improved their season record to 3-2.

Offensive Highlights

Running back Tre Shamlin put on a show for the home crowd, earning Offensive Player of the Game honors with a stellar performance in the backfield. Shamlin racked up 139 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns on the ground, while adding a 10-yard reception to keep the chains moving for the Bulldogs.
Quarterback Parker Huffman orchestrated the Bonham attack with precision, completing 6 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown pass.

Wide receiver Audreas Lane delivered explosive playmaking on both sides of the line of scrimmage, hauling in 3 catches for 30 yards while adding another 52 yards on the ground. Wide receiver Kaden Prempeh capitalized on his opportunities, turning 2 receptions into 30 yards and catching Huffman's touchdown pass.

Defensive Highlights

On the other side of the ball, linebacker Kevin Brown set the tone early to earn Defensive Player of the Game honors. Brown was everywhere on the field, finishing with 8 tackles, forcing 2 fumbles, and recording a sack.

Prempeh matched his offensive contributions with a dominant performance at defensive end, tallying 4 tackles, a sack, and breaking up 2 passes at the line. In the secondary, safety Bryce Robinson locked down the deep field with 4 tackles and a key interception, while cornerback Rony Ixcopal locked down his side of the field—allowing zero completions while contributing 3 tackles and recovering a fumble.
