BELTON — The Bonham Middle School 8th Grade Boys Cross Country team competed Wednesday evening at the Belton Middle School Cross Country Meet, held on the 2-mile course at Heritage Park in Belton.

Bonham Athletes & Performances

Because Bonham fielded fewer than five runners, the Bulldogs did not have enough competitors to qualify for the team standings. However, three Bonham athletes put in hard-fought individual efforts against a large field of runners:

Dawson McCauley – 14:12.27 (23rd place)
Kevin Medina – 17:14.21 (105th place)
Macgyver Jones – 17:19.18 (108th place)

Top 5 Individual Performances

While Bonham did not place any runners inside the Top 20, the front-runners of the 2-mile race were led by a victory from Robinson's Michael Albright:

Michael Albright (Robinson) – 11:49.14
Barrett Alexander (Wellborn MS) – 12:24.66
Hanson Liu (Wellborn MS) – 12:39.21
Devin Ortiz (Taylor MS) – 12:41.52
James Nichols (River Valley MS) – 12:56.01
