BELTON — The Bonham Middle School 8th grade girls cross country team traveled to Heritage Park on Wednesday evening to test their speed against a massive field at the Belton Middle School Cross Country Meet.

Competing in a crowded 2-mile race featuring over 200 runners from across the region, the Lady Bulldogs put forth a grit-filled effort as they continued their fall campaign.

Bonham Lady Bulldog Performances

Because Bonham competed with fewer than the five required runners, they did not log a score in the final team standings. However, both of their entries put in strong individual efforts:

Teagan Vestal: 79th place — 18:24.09
Ariel Chaney: 99th place — 19:19.67

Leading the way for Bonham, Teagan Vestal paced the Lady Bulldogs with a sub-18:30 performance to finish 79th overall. Teammate Ariel Chaney followed closely behind, cracking the top 100 with a time of 19:19.67.
