TEMPLE, Texas — In a tight defensive battle that came down to the final wire on Tuesday evening, the Bonham Middle School Bulldog 8th Grade "A" football team fell just short against River Valley, dropping a heart-wrenching 8-6 decision at Herman Anderson Field on the campus of Bonham Middle School.

With the loss, the Bulldogs move to 2-2 on the season, while both sides' physical defense defined an intense night of middle school football.

Standout Bulldogs of the Game

Despite the setback, Bonham saw stellar individual performances on both sides of the ball:
Offensive Player of the Game: WR Bryce Robinson — Robinson proved to be a multi-threat weapon for the Bulldogs, hauling in two catches for over 70 yards and showcasing his arm with a touchdown pass that kept Bonham right in the fight.

Defensive Player of the Game: DE Kaden Prempeh — Prempeh anchored the front line with non-stop effort, making crucial plays in the backfield and setting the edge against River Valley's offensive attack all evening.

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back and get back in the win column on October 6, when they host North Belton Middle School at Herman Anderson Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15 PM.
