TEMPLE, Texas — The Bonham Middle School Bulldog 8th Grade B football team dropped a tough battle at home Tuesday evening, falling 20-6 to River Valley at Herman Anderson Field. With the hard-fought loss, the Bulldogs drop to 1-3 on the season.

Despite the setback, Bonham delivered several standout individual performances on both sides of the ball to keep the game competitive.

Offensive Highlights

On offense, running back Malik Lawrence claimed Offensive Player of the Game honors with a stellar performance. Lawrence anchored the Bulldog attack, tearing through the River Valley defense for over 100 rushing yards and punching in Bonham’s solitary touchdown of the evening.

Defensive Highlights

Defensively, defensive end Alex Milne delivered a dominant, disruptive performance in the trenches to earn Defensive Player of the Game recognition. Milne was a constant fixture in the backfield, racking up multiple tackles, tackles for loss (TFLs), and creating a key turnover by forcing and recovering a River Valley fumble.

Looking Ahead

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back and reset their season momentum next week. Bonham returns to action on Tuesday, October 6, when they host North Belton Middle School at Herman Anderson Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
