TEMPLE, TX — The Bonham Middle School 8th Grade Lady Bulldog soccer team kicked off their season Thursday evening under the lights at Travis Science Academy Stadium. In a high-energy crosstown clash, the Lady Bulldogs showed flashes of offensive grit but ultimately fell to a powerhouse Travis Science Academy Lady Mustangs squad by a final score of 8-2.
Match Breakdown
The Lady Mustangs established a fast-paced rhythm early on, utilizing their home-field advantage to keep the pressure on the Bonham defense. Despite the lopsided score, the Lady Bulldogs refused to go down without a fight, finding the back of the net twice during the contest.
The scoring effort for Bonham was led by:
Clarissa Felix: 1 Goal
Kennedy Taft: 1 Goal
While the Travis offense proved difficult to contain, the match served as a vital learning experience for a Bonham team looking to build chemistry and defensive stability early in the year.
