TEMPLE, TX — The Bonham Middle School 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs kicked off their soccer season with an exclamation point on Thursday evening, delivering a commanding 5-1 victory over the Travis Science Academy Lady Mustangs.
Playing under the lights at Travis Science Academy Stadium, the Lady Bulldogs wasted no time asserting their dominance. The story of the night was undoubtedly the offensive masterclass put on by Sophia Aguiano, who found the back of the net four times. Aguiano’s clinical finishing kept the Mustang defense on its heels throughout the match, accounting for nearly the entirety of the Bonham scoring surge.
Complementing the offensive explosion was Aliyah Parks, who added a crucial goal of her own to help seal the win. While the Lady Mustangs managed to sneak one past the Bonham defense, the Lady Bulldogs’ backline remained largely impenetrable, stifling transition plays and keeping the ball firmly in Travis territory for the majority of the contest.
Scoring Summary
Bonham: Sophia Aguiano (4 goals)
Bonham: Aliyah Parks (1 goal)
Travis: 1 goal
