The Bonham Bulldog 8h Grade A football team earned their first victory of the season as they defeated South Belton Middle School by a score of 24-12 at Herman Anderson Field.

The Bulldogs were led by Offensive MVP, QB Clay Bouvier who had 185 yards passing and 3 passing TDs.

Also for the Bulldogs, RB Ayedon Robinson had 88 yards rushing and a 95 yard TD catch while WR Danny Jones 1 catch,for 55 yards receiving, 1 TD catch; WR Khyri Green 1 catch, 35 yards receiving, 1 TD catch; WR Max Westbrook 1 reception for 10 yards and 25 yards rushing.

Center Louis Nicholson had a perfect game snapping the football and Kicker Noah Willis was 3/3 on XP FGs.

The Defensive Standout for the Bulldogs was LB Kiano Matthews. Kiano who had 8 tackles and 3 tackles for losses.

Also for the Bulldogs, DE Jevniell Rosa-Rivera had 5 tackles, 2 sacks while DE Christian Matamoros had 2 sacks; N Mikel Hernandez 3 tackles; LB Danny Jones 5 tackles 1 sack; LB Raymond Alvarado 5 tackles 2 tfls; CB Dakai Small with 2 tackles, 5 pass breakups; CB Darren Smith had 4 tackles and 3 pass breakups; safety Kyrie Green with 3 tackles and 1 pass breakup and safety Ben Hall with 4 tackles.

Bonham, 1-1 on the season will return to action on September 23 when they will host Belton Middle School at Herman Anderson Field beginning at 6:30 pm.
